Talk is going on, in our forums, concerning Summer storage hints, EFF get togethers, how some of the new guys are gonna kick butt, etc.

"Dear Scott,

We did it!!!

Warner Home Video has announced that John Frankenheimer's classic 'Grand Prix
will be released in the US on July 11, 2006 in a Two Disc 40th Anniversary Special Edition."



"Special Features will include four never before seen documentaries and the archival film 'Grand Prix: Challenge of the Champions', taking viewers behind the scenes of '60s Formula One racing. The restored 65mm film will be released in widescreen format with a re-mastered Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack."

- Greg is now completely familiar with his new Zink, and will be attacking the West track -

-Dean's ready to run, and will probably be lapping in record time -

-Terry, from Tucson, will "hopefully" have his Vector ready -

- Jared will be arriving with his Van Diemen, while he puts the finishing touches on his 342 -

- Marshall is changing "Sexy Blues" colors? I hope not to pink -

- Tim, from Tucson, will hopefully be ready, after motor problems -

- Mike, who just bought an ADF, will be running his Van Diemen -

- Jens'll be flying around, looking for hay bales -

- Andrew will hopefully be joining, after oil press problems -

- Monty will be keeping all our cars running........again -

- Me? I'll be cruising around, sipping an iced tea, looking at the scenery -

What a weekend!

For an extremely crowded track (and pits), I believe everyone did fantastic and had a great time!
I'd like to personally thank "Monty", for taking the time yesterday and helping me with my starter.

(I asked him to sabotage Jens car, which I have a picture of)

JFYI Everyone.......(Letter from Larry)

THURSDAY: We will be able to get into the track at 4pm Thursday afternoon. Please do not try to go in before that time.If you need to drop trailers or rigs before 4pm, they will have to stay outside in the Gate 1 parking area.

ENTRY DURING THE WEEKEND: Firebird will have drag racers coming in thru gate 1 as well as us. 


YOU MAY GO TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENTRY ROAD AND WHEN YOU GET TO THE FIRST GATE, TELL THE SECURITY GUARD THAT
YOU ARE GOING TO THE PROAUTOSPORTS EVENT ON THE EAST TRACK. 


That should get you in without getting caught with the drag racers.

FUEL: We get our fuel from SPEEDWAY FUELS. PLEASE BUY YOUR FUEL FROM THEM AT THE TRACK. We need to keep the sales level up or we risk loosing our fuel supplier. IF YOU WANT TO BUY A 55 GAL DRUM, CALL 602-276-9250 TO ORDER IT. They can deliver it to you at the track.

HOURS AT THE TRACK: Fuel will be at the track from 7:30am til 2pm each day. Make sure you have your fuel before they leave.

AGAIN, PURCHASE FUEL FROM THEM AND THEY WILL KEEP COMING OUT TO SERVICE US.

PRE-REGISTERED AND PAID ENTRIES: Remember to pick up your registration package at the gate when you sign in and donate.

-Hopefully, Deans fuel gremlins have all been found and removed-

-Terry, from Tucson, should have his Vector up and running by now-

-Jared just bought a 342, but will run his Van Dieman this event-

-Marshall, with his Swift, will probably be breaking track records-

-Tim, from Tucson, ran a 1:13 last race in his Vector, and will be someone to watch-

-Mike, has his AIM equipment figured out and will probably be at warp speed-

-Jens, will be targeting hay bales, and making his daughter clean wheels-

-Andrew hopefully has his oil pressure problem taken care of-

-Monty will be keeping all our cars running-

-Me? I'll be putting around, wondering what's for lunch-

I'd like to congratulate my daughter, Jamie, for going through the driver's school Sunday and passing with flying colors!
And, I want to thank John, her instructor, for making the day safe, fun & informative for her.

Lap times dropped, lines were very smooth, and when she informed Jens, nonchalantly,
"You're not supposed to hit hay bales"
I knew she was born to race.

 


News - Feb. 6th

 

Our February 3 -5 event is now over. 
The racing was once again incredible, with everyone doing a fantastic job.
Lap times dropped, new cars to our group showed up and there was good close racing.
Everyone had a blast!

Great job everyone!
